Haines Escape

Starting in Juneau, book your Escape on an evening cruise on the Fjord Express from Juneau to Haines. This excursion is packed with spectacular scenery, world class wildlife viewing and exceptional service aboard the Fjordland, a state of the art, high speed catamaran. See whales, porpoise, eagles, waterfalls, hanging glaciers and the historic Eldred Rock Lighthouse. Spend two nights in Haines so you have enough time to take a kayaking trip, or a gentle raft float through the Bald Eagle Preserve (or both!), and explore the local art shops in between. The Golden Circle Route

Haines, In conjunction with Skagway, Whitehorse and Juneau constitute the Golden Circle Route which many have taken more than once. An adventure with so much to take in that you may have to repeat the route because you are sure to miss something the first time. Make sure to bring your passport so that you can travel into Canada and connect with the interior of Alaska. Skagway, Alaska is very easy to access out of Haines and is only about 16 miles by water so you can make it a day trip but driving there you will need to go into Canada and put about 350 miles on your tires.

Haines borders the one of the largest internationally protected ecosystems on the plant - the United Nations World Heritage Site that includes Alaska's Glacier Bay and Wrangell-St. Elias National Parks, as well as Canada's Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park and Kluane National Park.
