ArtFest Events to Look Forward To
Art on the Trails
One of the highlights of the festival, Art on the Trails, invites you to walk along the scenic CIA Trails and watch local artists bring their work to life in the great outdoors. From wood carving by Cody, weaving by Audrey Smith, and painting by Donna Catotti, to origami by Charles Moody and more, you’ll experience creativity in action. Many artists will be along the trails showcasing their work, giving you a chance to interact with them and learn about their creative processes. Art at the Library
For those who prefer to get hands-on, the Haines Public Library offers a variety of art projects throughout the festival. Kids and adults alike can stop by for interactive sessions in painting, origami, and more, with some activities available for a small materials fee.
Tlingit Park Live Performances & Art

A festival favorite, May Day in the Art Park (formerly the Sculpture Garden) at Historic Fort Seward is an exciting celebration of creativity and tradition! It’s a lively afternoon that brings the community together to honor the season of renewal and the artistic spirit of Haines.
Masquerade Ball & Silent Auction
Get ready for a night of mystery and excitement at the Masquerade Ball & Silent Auction at the Chilkat Center for the Arts. Put on your best mask and join us for an unforgettable evening. Art Parade
