Annual Events

Sparkling white winters presents the pulse-pounding international snowmachine race ripping through the mountainous Chilkat Pass and the fun-packed Winterfest that brings visitors in to challenge oneself or bragging rights through the Takshanuk Mountains. Root for the best float in the parades, celebrate local festivals, or jump into annual traditions.

Catch the largest Coho (Silver) during the derby or join the salmon run, no pole needed for this. Watch for the community plays that showcase our local thespians and aspiring musicians on stage. Our largest events; the Brew Fest, International Bike Relay, and Southeast State Fair are such a hit that visitors have to plan well in advance to participate with the locals.
